The Ancients Expansion adds the option to create alliances while bringing the total number of players to 8. Added Empires include all the same game pieces as the base game, with unique units to fit their theme.
The Ancients Expansion adds Maya, Egypt, Sparta, and Persia to the mix. The new empires have unique ability powers, and includes additional knowledge cards paired with new Objectives as well.
